Bicycle Powered Cement Mixer for Haiti

So many design objectives hit with one stone.

Cement Trust of McMinnville, Oregon, who themselves produce a cement batcher/mixer in cart form with multipurpose generator for mixing, bending rebar, etc., posted this image from another cement producer active in Haiti.  They reward graduates of a critically needed concrete educational program with these bicycle powered mixers.  The January 2010 earthquake there was not so much a natural disaster as one of socio-economic failure.  Such examples of design by design as this can provide answers.  Read more about it.
